Sanxia Honey Black Tea is a distinctive Taiwanese black tea known for its naturally sweet, honey-like character, developed without any added flavouring. Its unique profile is the result of a rare cultivation process, where leafhoppers gently interact with the tea plant, triggering natural enzymatic changes in the leaves.
This process enhances the tea’s aromatic complexity, creating a soft, rounded sweetness with elegant floral undertones. Despite its name, no honey is added - the flavour develops entirely through natural cultivation and careful processing.
Grown in Taiwan at elevations of around 600 metres, this tea benefits from a mild mountain climate, fertile soil, and traditional farming practices. The leaves are hand-picked and processed with precision, preserving their structure and allowing the tea to fully express its natural character.
The taste is smooth and layered, with notes of honey, soft florals, and a gentle sweetness that develops into a long, clean, and slightly warming finish. The infusion is rich yet balanced, offering depth without heaviness.
This tea provides a naturally calming and comforting experience, helping to relax the body, support digestion, and create a sense of warmth and balance - ideal for slower, more mindful tea moments.
