Oriental Beauty Oolong Tea

Oriental Beauty Oolong Tea (Dong Fang Mei Ren) is one of Taiwan’s most celebrated teas, known for its naturally complex flavour and elegant, honeyed character. It is a highly distinctive oolong that develops its unique profile through natural interaction between the tea leaves and leafhoppers, triggering early oxidation directly on the plant.

This process creates a rich and expressive tea with remarkable depth, where sweetness, fruit, and floral notes emerge without any added flavouring. It is widely regarded as one of the most refined and recognisable Taiwanese teas.

Grown in Taiwan at elevations of around 1000 metres, this tea benefits from a cool mountain climate, fertile soil, and careful cultivation. The leaves are delicately handled and processed using traditional methods, allowing them to develop their signature aromatic complexity.

The taste is smooth and layered, with notes of honey, ripe fruit, soft florals, and a gentle natural sweetness. Subtle hints of citrus and grape add brightness, while the texture remains rounded and slightly creamy. Each infusion reveals new nuances, creating a dynamic and evolving tea experience.
