Assam Tea

Assam Tea is a refined Taiwanese black tea inspired by the classic Assam style, offering a smoother and more balanced interpretation of a traditionally bold profile. Through careful cultivation and selection, this tea delivers depth and richness while maintaining elegance and clarity.

Originally derived from Assam tea plants and adapted through Taiwanese cultivation, this tea reflects a unique approach where traditional varieties are refined through local terroir and expertise. The result is a black tea with reduced bitterness and a more rounded, harmonious character.

Grown in Taiwan in the Yuchi region at elevations of around 700 metres, this tea benefits from fertile soil, stable humidity, and a mild mountain climate. The leaves are hand-picked and processed using traditional methods, preserving their integrity and allowing the tea to develop its full aromatic expression.

The taste is smooth and structured, with notes of honey, soft florals, and a gentle malty richness. Subtle hints of toasted grain and light citrus create additional complexity, leading to a clean, slightly sweet and velvety finish. Unlike traditional Assam, it remains balanced without excessive bitterness.

This tea provides a naturally energising and grounding experience, helping to support focus, enhance alertness, and create a steady, lasting energy - ideal for both morning and daytime tea moments.
